WDV Soccer Field Nearing Completion

The new WDV Soccer Field located on the Douglas campus is weeks away from completion.  Earlier this month, state-of-the-art turf was installed, and logos were “sewn” into the field — everything looks magnificent!

 

The perimeter fencing is being completed and netting will be placed behind the goals next week.  Soccer goals will soon be anchored into place in order to be ready for our CIF home games.  As the final stages of construction are coming to a close, cleanup of the construction area is underway which includes restriping of two outdoor basketball courts in the West Plaza. Both the soccer field and outdoor basketball courts will be available to students to play during lunch and seminars. 

 

Plans for a ribbon cutting ceremony are being finalized and will be shared soon. Stay tuned for more information about the official opening of the WDV Soccer Field! This project is funded by Measure EE bonds.
