Da Vinci Schools to Serve as a Voting Center for 2024 Election

Da Vinci Schools is proud to serve as a voting center for the 2024 Election. The Hall of Champions corridor in the WDV Gym at 201 N. Douglas St. will be open for voting for the very first time starting Saturday, Nov. 2 through Tuesday, Nov. 5.

This is a special opportunity for our schools to be a part of this democratic process and continue to serve our community by helping to make voting more accessible. Voters registered in L.A. County can vote in-person or drop-off their vote-by-mail ballot at Da Vinci or any voting center in the county. Parking will be available in front of the WDV Gym.

As we approach the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election, I want to take a moment to share some thoughts on what many anticipate to be a historic election.

We recognize this presidential election has been more contentious and partisan than in recent memory. We are encouraging everyone to vote but we are certainly not telling anyone how to vote. A Da Vinci value is the ability to disagree without being disagreeable, encouraging a culture where we support each other through kindness, empathy, and respect. We strive to model for our students how to actively participate as thoughtful contributors of the community. While elections can spark strong feelings and discussions, above all we wish for Da Vinci to be a place of respect and safety for all students and staff.

No matter the results of the election, we will continue to move forward – together.
