Tami has been in education for over 20 years. She began her career in education as a substitute teacher for LAUSD. After her time as a substitute teacher, she spent 15 years as a History teacher at Palisades Charter High School. She moved from the classroom to school leadership as one member of the nine-person administrative team at PCHS an Assistant Principal/Director of Admissions and Attendance. This role in school leadership showed her the impact that she could have on a larger student population, and also taught her the power of being student-centered.
She earned her B.A. in Liberal Arts, M.S in Education and Teaching Credential from Mt. St. Mary’s University. Being a lifelong learner she continued her education at Grand Canyon University earning a degree as an Educational Specialist in K-12 Leadership, as well as an Administrative Credential from Azusa Pacific University.
Tami is thrilled to share what she has learned but is more thrilled to learn more. As a mother of a teenage son she brings the experience of parenting the child you have — in the world of education, that means she deals with each student as an individual, honoring each student. Tami enjoys cooking, spending time with family and close friends, and hiking!
