Sam Kurczek has been the Geometry teacher at Da Vinci Science since 2016. He grew up in Geneva, Illinois, and for a while the largest body of water he had ever seen was Lake Michigan. After he graduated from high school, he went on to Coe College in scenic Cedar Rapids, Iowa where he earned his B.A. in Mathematics with a minor in Creative Writing. During undergrad, Sam spent a lot of time working for his school’s theater department, both on stage and off, through various clubs and organizations. He then went on to get his M.A. in Teaching from USC. As a math teacher, Sam loves to see his students discover all the ways math is present in the world and in their own lives, including their other subjects here at Da Vinci. He feels so incredibly fortunate to be a part of the Da Vinci family where everyone cares so deeply about the students and helping them learn and grow.
