Regina was born in Nicaragua, moved to Ontario, California when she was six years old, and came to Los Angeles in 2004. After earning a degree in Comparative Literature from Cal State University, Fullerton, she set off on the adventure of teaching and learning. Later she earned a Masters degree in Urban Education from UCLA. Before coming to Da Vinci Communications, she taught English and AVID at a nearby district where she also served as a department chair and a BTSA support provider and mentor in addition to becoming a National Board Certified Teacher. Outside of school, Regina enjoys going camping with her husband Kyle and little boy Benjamin, riding bikes to the beach, and being a mama to new baby girl Eleanor. She is excited to be teaching at DVC and getting to know the rad students who attend school here.
