Michelle Rainey has spent nearly three decades in education across both district and charter schools in Southern California and currently serves as Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction at Da Vinci Schools. She is passionate about creating progressive, responsive schools that meet the needs of all learners. Michelle was a founding staff member of four schools, including three within the Da Vinci network, and continues to support the launch of new school models across Da Vinci Schools. Her commitment to this work is rooted in her own experiences as a student with an IEP and drives her dedication to building schools that champion unique identities, neurodiversity, and responsive teaching.
When she isn’t working, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family, including her two daughters, both graduates of Da Vinci Schools. She can often be found walking her dogs, listening to podcasts, watching documentaries, cross stitching, crocheting, or working on a challenging jigsaw puzzle.
