Ashley Hapner is the English 11 teacher at Da Vinci Communications. Originally from sunny Palm Springs, California, Hapner moved to Los Angeles after high school and obtained their Bachelor of Arts degrees in both English Literature and Animation at Loyola Marymount University. After finishing their undergraduate education, Hapner worked in film production and eventually enrolled at Pepperdine University’s Graduate School of Education and Psychology, where they earned their Master’s in Teaching and fell in love with education. Hapner believes that language and literature are some of the best ways to learn about the human experience. As a self-proclaimed professional nerd, Hapner enjoys reading graphic novels and science fiction, creating art, dissecting video game mechanics, watching animated films, and exploring all the amazing parts of Los Angeles when they’re not in the classroom.
