Construction Begins on WDV Soccer Field at 201 N. Douglas

We are thrilled to share that construction of the Wiseburn Da Vinci Soccer Field at 201 N. Douglas St. has begun! The long-awaited field will begin its journey toward completion for use by our WDV boys and girls soccer teams, all of our WDV schools, and the community.

The outdoor basketball courts have been fenced off as of May 30th to provide the contractors an area to place their equipment and to safely block off the route that will be used by the construction vehicles to gain access to the field. Starting on Monday, June 3rd, and over the next couple of weeks, trucks will come in via the Wiseburn USD entrance to haul away the excess dirt that needs to be removed. While you will probably see more construction trucks on Douglas St. for the next two weeks, we don’t expect it to impact drop-off and pick-up as the crews will be avoiding the busiest times on campus. Once the dirt removal has been taken care of, construction of the field will continue through the summer months.

The projected completion date for the field is October 10, 2024. We look forward to bringing you further updates in the upcoming weeks.
