Diane Feldman

Theatrical Arts / Theatre Coordinator, Da Vinci Schools

Diane is an experienced theatrical director/musical director, accompanist, and theatre educator who has created and directed several award-winning performing arts programs for elementary, middle, and high schools in Los Angeles and New York, all of which remain in operation today and continue to serve over 500 students annually. She is the Founder of Children’s Civic Light Opera Theatre Company (CCLO™), which grew into one of the Los Angeles area’s most celebrated educational musical theatre programs for evolving young performing artists age 5-25, and many of her alumni can be seen on Broadway stages as designers, stage managers and performers, (HAMILTON, MOULIN ROUGE, CHICAGO, PARADISE SQUARE, PIPPIN, MAMMA MIA, EVITA, FINDING NEVERLAND), while others have booked Broadway Tours, off-Broadway and Regional productions, and can be seen on an assortment of television shows. She has created and taught an extensive variety of drama, musical theatre, acting, educational theatre and arts-blended courses, and has designed and implemented a wide array of theatrical and theatre-rooted curriculum, and social/emotional wellness through theatre programming for students ages 5 to 85.

In addition to her work as an educator and director/musical director, Diane is a vocal, acting, piano, and audition preparation coach. She also teaches acting and musical theatre for the RISE and EARLY RISE programs at Debbie Allen Dance Academy, and is an acting instructor at Los Angeles Performing Arts Conservatory. She holds a Master’s Degree in Music and Performing Arts Professions (emphasis in Educational Theatre) from New York University, is a proud recipient of the new Single Subject Teaching Credential in Theatre, and is a member of Actor’s Equity Association, happily receiving her membership after performing in Theatre for Young Audiences tours and making young people giggle all across the country.

Diane is overjoyed to collaborate with the communities inside and outside of Da Vinci Schools and contribute to the building of performing arts blueprints that will inspire students to cultivate, expand upon, and actualize their innate gifts and capabilities.

She believes passionately in the empowering possibilities of the performing arts, and loves utilizing theatre as a catalyst for personal, academic and artistic exploration, growth and impact. She believes participation in the performing arts can lead students of every learning style, energy, academic stamina, and emotional chemistry to leadership, achievement and success – on stage and off.
