Da Vinci Schools Launch New Website, New Look

November 1, 2010

Da Vinci Schools are excited to introduce a completely redesigned website, www.davincischools.org, which offers visitors a bold and uncluttered design, easier navigation, and more news and information about our schools, students, curricula and programs.

"The new website really conveys the spirit of Da Vinci Schools -- it's bold and innovative and emphasizes our commitment that every Da Vinci student graduates with the skill sets needed for college and real-world readiness," said Dr. Matthew Wunder, Da Vinci's Executive Director.

The new site, which debuts today, was designed for a variety of users, including current families, prospective families, community members, corporate partners, donors and other education stakeholders. We hope you find the information you are looking for, and gain some new insights into our schools!

We've introduced many new features to the website, including:

* Explore Project-Based Learning
* Check out our real-world Projects
* View our Student Profiles
* View the new student-created 'I love Da Vinci' video produced by the Tech Team
* Take a tour of the Gallery to view more videos, photos and other student work
* Learn more about our Internships, Early College and Honors programs
* See student work samples in their digital portfolios
* Get the latest Enrollment information for 2011-2012

* Meet our Faculty + Staff
* Start your college planning with our robust College Counseling web pages
* Get up-to-date News + Events
* Learn more about our Community Partners and the role they play at Da Vinci Schools
* Find out how Families can get involved
* Make a gift today to our Annual Giving Campaign and find out who supports Da Vinci Schools on our Donor Wall

The new website was designed and developed by Jami Miyamoto of Studio RoJa and Denise Shiozawa of UmeWorks.
Carla Levenson, Da Vinci's volunteer marketing director, planned the site architecture, contributed content, and led the web design project. Other contributors to the process included Da Vinci staff members Dr. Nicole Tempel, Colleen O'Boyle, Mari Kono and Jaime Hernandez, as well as Da Vinci Schools' board member Cheryl Cook and Renee Rollins Greenberg, who served as beta testers of the site leading up to its release. We are enormously grateful to our web team for their dedication and huge contribution of time to create this beautiful website. For more information, please visit the Site Credits.

We hope to roll out new features on the website in the coming months, including student blogs.

The new brand identity is communicated through the new website, brochures, presentations, newsletters, postcards, and a range of additional marketing materials.

We invite you to explore the new website and discover what Da Vinci Schools are all about. We want to make sure the site is consistently meeting your needs, so please feel free to send us your comments and feedback.

We look forward to hearing from you!!
